Lucent Elixir, a show of recent paintings at the Rodger LaPelle Gallery in Philadelphia, PA. This show will feature some of Brian Keeler's work from the Emerald Island along with paintings from other locales where he has found the muse. These include his home area of the Finger Lakes, The northern Susquehanna region, Italy, and Maine as well as figurative and allegorical works. 25th Annual Susquehanna River Float- Plein Air, Art and Music
August 18, 2017 - August 20, 2017

The 25th Annual Susquehanna Plein Air Painting and Music Event- August 18-20, 2017- Join us on a beautiful section of the North Branch of the Susquehanna RIver in Wyoming County, PA for weekend of Painting, music, dance and nature appreciation. The event this year is partnering with the Kitson Art Alliance in Tunkhannock, PA. The Kitson Alliance is featuring an outdoor concert by Ithaca-based vintage swing combo, Zingology on Friday afternoon from 4 to 7:30 in the Gazebo on the Court House Lawn. To learn more about the combo, visit Saturday the participants paddle from Meshoppen, PA (departing at noon) to The Howland Preserve at Vosburg. There will be a dance and dinner on Saturday night also featuring Zingology in the Barn at the Howland Preserve. In the late afternoon there will be open jamming before and after the dinner/dance event and on Sunday morning so bring your voice or instrument. For painters, bring your own gear and set up to paint the river and nature at various times during the weekend. The plan is for the painters to meet at the Meshoppen boat launch at 9 am on Saturday for a 2 1/2 hour paint session before launching the boats. We might stop along the river on the way down to the Howland to paint also. Sunday the paddlers head down river again to finish before the bridge in Tunkhannock. Heliodelic Examples- Selections from Brian Keeler's one man exhibit at the Roberson Musuem in Binghamton, NY last year will be featured at Keeler's North Star Art Gallery on 743 Snyder Hill Road in Ithaca, NY. The event will open on Saturday, July 1st as part of the Greater Ithaca Art Trail. Stop by from 10 am until 3 on Saturday July 1. Enter the gallery through the door on the back left. The gallery is located in a repurposed garage that is now a beautiful display area. The house is a large Victorian with a cupola on the corner of Besemer Hill Road and Snyder Hill Road just 3 miles east of East Hill Plaza. The gallery is open by appointment after Saturday.
