Italian Art Sojourn
June 8, 2013 - June 21, 2013
Our group dining at "Ricardo" one of the incredible restaurants in Barga, northern Tuscany.
Pennellate d'Italia- (Brushstrokes of Italy)
Our Art Sojourn for this year has a great
Itinerary for stoking your painterly skills and creativity. We'll start in Pisa to tour
the
museums (Including the Sinopie, fresco museum) and on to Luca before going up
into the beautiful Tuscan mountains at
Barga. We will spend our first week there for our workshop in painting the figure
and landscape. Staying in a beautiful 17 c palazzo with great views in the center of
the historic
section of the medieval town, we will use a large room there for our morning class
and
find abundant inspiration all around us for landscapes and townscapes. Visit
www.casacordati.it
At the end of the first week, on our way south to Todi, we will will make stops in
Florence, Orvieto, Cortona and elsewhere for a splendid
selection of cuisine and ambience, with plentiful examples of Renaissance art,
along with Roman and Etruscan history.
The second week will be spent near the medieval town of Todi in Umbria with
spectacular rolling vistas to inspire our landscape work. The accommodations are
supremely comfortable ( in a tasteful new lodge overlooking the valley in front of
Todi) with a swimming pool and hiking trails for our enjoyment. Our hosts will
make the best meals in Italy each day. Visit www.agrivia.it for info.
A free brochure is available that explains everything. Please call or write for info-
