landscapes of several areas that Brian has visited on painting and teaching excursions. They

Plein Air Classes with Brian Keeler
August 22, 2020 - September 30, 2020
Plein Air One Day Workshops- Join us here at the inspiring grounds of the North Star Art
Gallery to immerse in one-day painting intensives with Brian Keeler. Please register in
advance by calling, emailing or completing the fom on the web site. Each workshop is on a
Saturday and goes from 9 am to 4 pm- some with an optional sunset session at Stewart Park
on Cayuga Lake.
The workshops are held outside with social distancing and safety precautions observed.

28th annual canoe trip- jam and paint out
August 14, 2020 - August 16, 2020
The 28th annual Susquehanna River paddle, jam, and paint out will be on the weekend of Aug
14-16 with the main event on Saturday. We push off from the boat launch in Meshoppen, PA at
noon on Saturday and then paddle to the Howland Preserve. The jam will be there. Bring our
own boat or rent a kayak or canoe from EMO in Sugar Run, PA. Contact them to set up your

Pastel Workshop with Brian Keeler (CANCELLED)

(This event CANCELLED due to covid-19) Brian Keeler will be present a one day workshop in
pastel at the Vestal Library in Vestal, NY on
Saturday, May 2 from 10 to 3. The event is hosted by the Fine Art Society of the Southern
Tier.
The students can work on landscape or figurative paintings, cityscapes or portraits using
their
own photos or sketches. Students should come with all their own materials and a variety of
reference material. The fee for FASST members is $55 and $65 for non-members. For info

Pastel Demo- Vestal Library- (CANCELLED)

This event CANCELLED due to precautions for Covid-19- The FIne Art Society of the
Southern Tier in Vestal, NY will present a pastel demonstration with
Brian Keeler at the Vestal Library on Monday evening, April 27th at 7 pm. The event is free for
FASST members and only $5 for non-members. Brian will acquaint the participants with the
basics of pastel and materials in preparation for the workshop on the following Saturday, May
2.

Luminous Arias- Recent Work of Brian Keeler
January 3, 2020 - January 31, 2020
"Luminous Arias- Recent Work of Brian Keeler- This new exhibit of landscapes, cityscapes
and figurative work will be presented by the Tioga Arts Council in their Gallery at 179 Front
Street, Owego, NY 13827 from January 3 to 31, 2020. The opening reception will be on First
Friday, January 3 from 5 to 8 pm. The artist will also give a gallery talk on Thursday, January
9th at 7 pm, which is free and open to the public. During this evening the artist will present a
slide show on his work which will focus on melding the artistic, environmental and historical.
